The shawarma was very fresh and tasty, and the Syrian coffee lived up to my expectations - it is very similar to Turkish coffee which I already tried and love many times. Service was friendly and fast as I was the only one there at the time.

This is a gem of a place if you are after authentic Middle Eastern desserts. Almost all of them look irresistible and they taste just as good as they look. Their baklava was great but our personal favourite was the pistachio Warbat.. it was truly awesome! Well worth your time to visit if you are anywhere in the area.

Update: just tried the new Dubai pistachio baklava and it is very good I have been a regular customer at Trio - Palmyra for 5+ years. It's a lovely respite from busy Lygon Street - the coffee is good - the vegie & labne pie & Trio pie are a great, tasty lunch option - when I'm hungrier the falafel or meals are tasty and wholesome - the range of baklava are great for gifts or taking to a friend's place to share as they are not as syrupy as other baklava - the hummus & dolma are tasty & perfect for snacking
